MESSAGE FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER

Dear Owner,

An astounding 78% of households participated in our recent survey designed to inform our Strategic and Long-Range Capital Plans. Thank YOU! GGA Partners, our third party survey firm, prepared an Executive Summary, question-by-question report, and a complete spreadsheet of the cross-tabulated results. You can view the documents on the Other Resources section of our member website. They are titled HLCA 2025 Strategic and Long-Range Planning Survey Report  and HLCA GGA Survey Crosstab Report under the In The Know section for 2025. If you need assistance viewing the reports, or have any questions, please email [email protected].

Please note: due to the amount of information in the Crosstab report, the file may appear small when opened. You may need to use the zoom function in Adobe PDF for easier viewing.

At our September 22nd Hampton Lake Tomorrow – Turning Insights into Action presentation, we gave an overview of the results and discussed next steps in the Strategic and Long-Range Capital Planning Process. Unfortunately, we experienced an issue with the recording and will need to have the presenters re-record the session. In the meantime, we want to ensure you still have access to the information that was shared. Please find the presentation slides linked here. Once the re-recorded presentation is scheduled, we will provide an update and share the new recording with you.

During the presentation, we introduced our Long-Range Capital Planning partner, Chambers USA. You can watch a brief introduction video about Chambers USA here. Chambers is a nationally recognized planning and design firm that specializes in the private club industry. Headquartered in Baltimore, Chambers has decades of experience working with hundreds of private clubs and communities in similar exercises across the nation, including extensive experience with clubs in the Carolinas, and specific experience with nearby communities in the Low Country.

Over the next several months, the Long-Range Capital Planning Committee and Chambers will study our facilities, operations, programs, and services as they currently function with an understanding of what changes or improvements, if any, may need to occur in the future. This process will address how we use our facilities, the current trends in private clubs and communities, and how best to implement these changes, if desired by the residents.

At this time, please understand that no decisions have been made other than to proceed with the development of a Long-Range Plan. As we continue the planning efforts, there will be several opportunities for residents to provide their crucial input, including in-person Resident Listening Sessions and Open House Sessions.

We can all agree that we have a very special community. With a plan for the future, we can be assured that as we move forward, we will be respectful of Hampton Lake’s traditions, while embracing the needs of our current residents and preparing our community for years to come.

Please be aware of future newsletter and email updates as we move forward on this exciting project!

Best,

Adam Martin

GM/COO
